ATTENTION SENIORS - BORGER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION 2012 SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST

FIRST PRIZE: $500.00
SECOND PRIZE: $250.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

The contest is open to all high school seniors graduating in May 2012, who are members of Borger Federal Credit Union.

Contestants must have a share account with his/her name as the primary member at the time the essay is submitted and the prizes are awarded. The account must be open at the time of the award.

The theme of the essay is: “In The Palm of Your Hand—The Advantages of Mobile Banking and How it Will Change the Financial Industry.”

On the first page of each copy, contestants should indicate the number of words in the paper. The allowed maximum number of words is 800.

Essays will be judged on clarity, accuracy, originality and meaningful content. All essays become property of Borger Federal Credit Union.

The essay must be submitted with a separate sheet containing name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and credit union number. None of this information should appear anywhere in the essay paper itself. Entries are to contain the original and three copies of the essay. None of these entries should have covers, folders or binders.

Entries must be postmarked or received by March 31, 2012.

All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of Borger Federal Credit Union.

Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in the disqualification of the entry.

FUNDING:

Scholarship funds will be made payable to the school on behalf of the winners. Prizes must be utilized before the start of the third semester after the notification of winners. Funds not utilized will be forfeited and returned to Borger Federal Credit Union.

Finalists will be notified by telephone and prizes will be awarded at the Annual Membership Meeting in April, 2012.
