At Borger Federal Credit Union, we respect your privacy. As your financial
institution, we recognize our obligation to keep the information you provide
to us both secure and confidential.
It is the credit union's intent to collect, retain and use information about
you only when we reasonably believe it will aid the administration of our business
or provide products and services to you. Additionally, we will do so to comply
with certain laws and regulations. We educate our employees about the importance
of confidentiality and take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee
privacy responsibilities. Additionally, we maintain security standards and
procedures to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential information
about you. At times it is necessary to provide personally identifiable information
about you to a party outside the credit union, such as a vendor hired to prepare
your account statements or to provide support or services for one or more of
our products. These parties agree to safeguard our confidential information
about you and must abide by applicable law.
The credit union does not reveal specific information about your accounts
or other personally identifiable data to parties outside the Credit Union unless:
(1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete
a transaction initiated by you; (3) the information is provided to a credit
bureau or similar information reporting agency; (4) the disclosure otherwise
is lawfully permitted or required. We do not sell member names or personal
information to outside parties. We may, at times, provide member names to our
vendors who provide related services to our membership, for the purpose of
offering such member services.
We want you to understand our commitment to personal privacy. For this reason
we have prepared these privacy statements. Should you have any question regarding
how your Credit Union gathers and protects information, please contact our
